Heat broiler with rack 4 inches from the heat.
Rinse salmon and pat dry with paper towels. Place salmon on a broiler pan and drizzle 2 tablespoons of lemon juice over the top. Season with salt and pepper. Broil until salmon is just cooked but still moist, 8 to 9 minutes. Remove the salmon's skin.
Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, stir together the mustard, remaining 2 tablespoons lemon juice, oil, dill, and basil. Spoon the sauce over the salmon and serve immediately.
val725 - I would stick with dijon or honey mustard but if it's got to much kick for you add a little something creamy like sour cream or mayo or more simply add more lemon juice
Val725, I think if you wanted to use plain hot dog mustard it would be just fine, I am going to do that first.
I was wondering if there is a way to make the sauce not so spicy. I love Dijon mustard but 1/2 cup is a lot. Maybe more herbs? Any ideas? Thank you.

This was the best salmon recipe I've ever found! My boyfriend refuses to touch any salmon or tuna, but with the dijon sauce on top, he ate the whole thing and practically licked the plate clean! The mustard, dill, and lemon blended perfectly with the fish to create an overall delicious experience! Everyone should try this dish!
