Daily Detoxing Tips

Dr. Mark Hyman, M.D., founder and medical director of the Ultra Wllness Center in Lenox, Massachusetts, suggests these simple additions to maximize your body's ability to process waste.

Water with Lemon
Sipping room-temperature water with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice first thing in the morning stimulates digestion and helps to flush toxins.

Regular Exercise
Any type of fitness plan that gets your heart rate up and creates a sheen of sweat (sun salutations, brisk walking, jogging) helps your body rid itself of anything it doesn't need. Fifteen minutes a day is beneficial; 30 is ideal.

A Cleansing Soak
Once a week for 20 minutes, sit in a hot bath that contains a handful of Epsom salts, 10 drops of lavender essential oil, and a half cup of baking soda. This combo draws out toxins, lowers stress-related hormones, and balances your pH levels.

Go Hot and Cold
Finish your morning shower by alternating between water temperatures as hot and cold as you can stand. The technique increases circulation, which in turn flushes the lymphatic system.

i recently started a body detox eliminating processed foods and what a difference it has made I have so much more energy. It is about creating a diet plan and sticking to it and I probably could not have done it without the support of the diet plan tracker I used. Once you set you mind to a plan you are much more likely to succeed. And there are other ways to detox I really believe that detoxed water and beauty product are also so important good health.

The main objective when following the detox diet is to avoid processed foods! Processed foods add no nutritional value, basically when processed foods are consumed they break down into mostly sugar, and sugar will turn into fat if the body does not burn it off.

I have not only lost 68 pounds on the detox diet, but I also have a lot more energy and feel great. Once you started eating real food it changes the way you eat and feel about food. You no longer crave junk food or processed foods it is a lifestyle change. The detox diet is a great way to get healthy and lose weight.

When you trade pop-tarts for oatmeal and fruit, for example, you automatically take in fewer calories. Plus, you cut four ingredients-sugar, high-fructose corn syrup, salt and transfats-known to stimulate appetite and speed fat storage.
