Have Fun
Holiday makeup is meant to be fun: It's the perfect time to play with glitter and sparkle on the cheeks, brow bone, decolletage, and shoulders.

Less Is More
Either have statement eye makeup or a statement lip color. Never do both at once.

Go Smoky: Eye Makeup How-To
For a smoky eye, apply eye makeup before foundation and blush or bronzer. This way any excess eye shadow can be easily wiped off without removing your other makeup.

To create a smoky eye, begin by lining the perimeter of the lid with liner. Using a clean brush, smudge the liner over your lid to create a base for eye shadow. (This will also make the eye shadow stay on longer.) Press or pat on eye shadow layer by layer; do not use a sweeping brush motion across the lid. Blend shadow into lid and eyebrow arch with a clean brush.

Apply mascara on upper lashes, letting it dry between each coat to build up bulk. For lower eyelashes, dab a tiny amount of mascara onto a small, clean mascara wand, then brush the small applicator onto your lower lashes. (This will prevent clumping and give a more natural look.) Finish by curling lashes with an eyelash curler.

Try: Estee Lauder Sumptuous Extreme mascara, Sephora eyelash curler (More Info | Buy), and Yves Saint Laurent Ombre Solo eye shadow in Smokey Grey
