Light Your Inner Fire
Ohhmm, yeah. New research published in The Journal of Sexual Medicine suggests that regular yoga practice can enhance your sex life. After completing a 12-week program that included about an hour of yoga each day, women reported improvements in desire, arousal, orgasm, and other good stuff relating to sexual function.
The researchers, who hope yoga will become a standard part of treatment for sexual dysfunction, suspect that asanas -- such as Triangle pose, or Trikonasana (shown here) -- help by strengthening pelvic-muscle tone and increasing blood flow to the genitals. Yoga may also trigger the production of sex hormones, reduce stress, ease pain, increase lubrication, and boost self-confidence and sexual performance.
