Teva, widely known for its strappy sandals, crafted the Keagan from recycled trash. The canvas lining consists of postconsumer plastic bottles, and the outside contains 50 percent reclaimed rubber.

The fair-trade Volley by Veja incorporates organic cotton canvas and renewable, biodegradable natural latex collected from wild rubber trees in the Amazon rain forest.

Vegan Delight
Keen's Ventura features a jute, cork, and natural latex footbed; a natural rubber outsole; recycled aluminum eyelets; and waterbased glues.
