"I was devastated when my brother set the date of his wedding knowing I couldn't make it. Over the past year we had grown apart, so I decided to give him a call to mend the relationship. I told him I still wanted him in my life, and asked if we could try to get past our differences. It hurts that I missed my brother's wedding, but now I've learned to guard relationships before they break."
