Muesli Cereal

  • 1/4 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup mixed dried fruit, coarsely chopped
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 Tbsp chopped nuts, such as almond, pistachio, or walnut
  • 1 Tbsp toasted seeds, such as pumpkin, sesame, or sunflower


  1. Soak oats and dried fruit in 2/3 cup water in the refrigerator overnight.

  2. Drain water. To serve, add almond milk and top with nuts and seeds.

    This was my first muesli experience and I have to say it grew on me throughout the week! I found using a harder nut was preferable because it gave more texture - pistachios just kinda blended in. What an easy breakfast for the future.

    I enjoyed this recipe. I liked the way the dried fruits plump up and adds natural sweetness to the oats without any added sugars.

    This was a delicious breakfast, very filling and a great start to my day. I used, apricots, prunes and figs. For nuts I used some hazelnuts and walnuts, and the seeds I used sunflower seeds. I doubled this to have on hand for any morning.
