  • 1/2 cup sifted and lightly packed natural cane sugar

  • 4 large egg whites

  • 8 ounces fresh blackberries, halved

  • 1/3 cup pistachios, crushed

Directions

  • Prepare the Crust: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large mixing bowl, combine the white whole-wheat flour, 3/4 cup shredded coconut, cane sugar, and sea salt. Stir in the melted butter until the mixture resembles wet sand. Press the crust mixture evenly into the bottom and sides of a tart pan. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown. Let cool.
