Quick Compote

Whip up this tasty topping and add some antioxidants to your plate.

  1. Peel, core, and chop 3 apples.
  2. Put 1/2 cup dried sour cherries in a pot, 1 cup apple cider, 2 Tbsp. lemon juice, 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  3. Reduce heat, cover partially, and simmer 20 minutes until softened. Sweeten with honey if desired.
