Chewy, oat-based bars filled with sweet, juicy strawberries, offering a perfect balance of tart and sweet flavors in a wholesome, easy-to-enjoy treat.
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups pitted dates
1/4 cup raw macadamia nuts
2 tablespoons old-fashioned rolled oats
Pinch sea salt
1 cup strawberries, hulled and thinly sliced
Directions
In a food processor, combine the pitted dates, macadamia nuts, rolled oats, and sea salt. Blend until the mixture is sticky and well combined.
Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper. Press the date and oat mixture firmly into the bottom of the pan to form an even crust.
Layer the thinly sliced strawberries on top of the crust, pressing them gently into the surface.
Place the pan in the refrigerator and chill for 1-2 hours to allow the bars to firm up.
Once chilled, remove the bars from the pan using the parchment paper, slice into squares, and serve.
